26247 was completed in October of 1978 wearing Rosso Corsa over
Black leather upholstery with dark Blue carpets in Berlinetta
coachwork and sold new on February 10, 1979 by Grand Prix SSR Co.
of East Setauket, NY. Now showing just 33,750 miles - believed to
be original, this 308 retains much of its factory equipment and is
presented as a solid and sorted ideal driver.
Carbureted 308s, especially in GTB form are an absolute treat to
experience, both in their performance capabilities and sound!
The Ferrari's cabin remains in excellent preserved condition with
original fabrics, equipment, Sigla and Securit glass. Its fitted
electronics are in proper working order, including the clock. Older
exterior paintwork is displayed on the body, with visible finish
inconsistences, blemishes, and crazing throughout the lacquer. Both
stowage compartments are orderly, with spare tire assembly up front
and zippered cover in the rear luggage compartment - containing a
complete original tool kit, emergency light in pouch, jack in roll
with tow hook, tire iron and belts. Original 7.5 x 14" Cromodora
wheels remain fitted on the GTB with correctly sized 205/70VR14
Vredestein Sprint Classic tires, dated 2019. The underside is
recently detailed and shows well. Additionally, the GTB retains its
Pininfarini body number stamped on the front and rear bonnet
lids.
An April 2017 "30K Major Service" was performed on the vehicle
including sway bar bushings, front steering rack, tie rods and
4-wheel alignment. This was followed by a February 2019 assessment
and Belt Service performed by Ferrari of Central Florida, Winter
2019 fuel system and general repairs by Ferrari of Central Florida.
February 2020 "Major Belt Service" by Tim Stanford Foreign Cars,
August 2020 air conditioning and fuel delivery rebuilds, Winter
2020 and 2021 inspections. The 308's emissions smog pump was
removed by a previous caretaker.
In addition to the 308's tools and emergency accessories, it
appears all original books accompany, including the Owner's Manual,
Sale & Service Organization booklet, (VIN matched) Warranty Card &
Owner's Service Book and Consumer Information Manual in their
original Ferrari leather folio. Early 308 GTB's have established
themselves amongst most desirable V8 Ferraris, especially in
carbureted form. Here is a thoughtfully preserved and maintained
Coupe, complete with ALL original accessories, fully serviced and
ready for driving enjoyment.
